Art Judge 2022

Gail Thomas

A lifelong interest in art and nature has been combined many times in winning proportions for Gail.  She is the recipient of a multitude of prizes for her artwork.  Gail has shown her work over much of Queensland, particularly in large regional art competitions.  A prize winning ribbon from the Royal Queensland Show Society has pride of place, followed by selection to show at the Australia wide Snowy Mountains Equine Art Show.  Horses and birds often feature in Gail’s masterpieces, however over the years she has worked on a variety of styles and mediums, including, pastel, oil, acrylic, wax crayon and watercolour.  Gail enjoys working on large pieces, even whole building walls!!  Her artwork has adorned a bakery wall and beach scenes are on the poolside surrounds for a private client.  Gail has also been featured in the artist magazine, “Artists Palette”.

Gail has been invited to judge at art competitions, particularly in the local area, as her work is well known and she has vast experience personally with techniques and varied mediums.

2021 Moore Park Beach Arts Festival – is held in honour of Pat Walker

Moore Park Beach Arts Festival pays tribute to it’s longest standing supporter and patron of the Festival

Pat Walker

In honour of the immense passion and commitment to our small seaside town, Moore Park Beach and her tireless support and promotion of the Art and Beauty of our lands, our skies, our ocean and our people, along with  our Annual Moore Park Beach Arts Festival, this year we introduce the Pat Walker Annual Perpetual Art Trophy.  We do this – 2021 Arts Festival in your honour Pat and we hope in every way we honour the foundation that you worked so hard to create.  Without you, there would be no us.
